Get support on fire safety for your business

A few chimneys in a row, with smoke coming out of the one in the middle. Only the roofs of the houses can be seen, as well as some of the brick wall of the first in the row, and a grey sky. There are a few trees in the background with no leaves, so it's clearly autumn.

Staff pay and grading

We are required to disclose remuneration details for senior employees. Senior employees are described as those that are designated as head of service such as a chief officer and any person having responsibility for the management of the relevant body.

Our Statement of Accounts now includes a breakdown of the number of our employees earning over £50,000 (in bands of £5,000) as well as the pay and benefits of the individual officers of our Executive Board.

Pay policy statements

Under section 38(1) of the Localism Act 2011, we are required to prepare a Pay Policy Statement. The Authority is responsible for ensuring that its pay policy will set out the issues relating to the pay of the workforce and in particular, the senior officers and the lowest-paid employees.
