Information and data transparency

We publish information and data under the data transparency code and the Localism Act. The local government transparency code is issued to meet the government’s desire to place more power into citizens’ hands to increase democratic accountability. The Localism Act sets out a series of measures with the potential to achieve a shift in power away from central government and towards local people. The subjects listed are taken from the transparency code.
