Two appliances from Bridgwater with a operational support officer were mobilised to a report of a fire in St Mary Street Bridgwater, on arrival at the scene crew confirmed smoke was issuing from the doorway and requested additional crew from Bridgwater for manpower.

Update 17:44

An additional appliance was requested from the scene for a terraced building consisting of three floors, fire involving a fuse box at an entrance doorway crews getting to work to extinguish. One appliance from Nether Stowey was mobilised to attend.

Crew have requested a further two appliances to attend, one from Taunton and Burnham-on-Sea were mobilised along with the Incident Command Vehicle and supporting vehicle from Street, a Hazardous Material and Environmental Protection Advisor and Command Support Officer. 

Update18:05

Fire in the ground floor fuse box spreading to the first floor joist, crews at work with breathing apparatus, hose reels, triple extension ladders and a safety jet,. Western power are in attendance.

Crew are continuing to expose the structure to enable cutting away. 

Update 20:29

Fire in a mid terraced property, with the ground floor used as a take away and a further two floors above as a accommodation. The building measuring as 10m by 20m constructed as brick walls and a tiled roof. There was one hundred percent fire damage to the main electrical fuse board, ten percent damage by fire to the first floor flat floor joist, sixty percent smoke damage to the first floor flat, twenty five percent smoke damage to the second floor flat. The fire was extinguished using eight breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one safety jet, two thermal imaging cameras, two triple extension ladders, four co2 fire extinguishers, gas monitor, electrical cutting away tools and small tools.
