Two fire appliances from Torrington and Bideford attended Mill Street Taddiport after numerous calls to report a caravan on fire near cars parked in Taddiport.

On arrival crews confirmed there was a caravan completely destroyed by fire and 1 car was now involved in the fire. Two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, one dry powder extinguisher and a thermal imaging camera was used to extinguish the fire. The water supply was supplemented by a hydrant in the street.

By 22:28 the fire was extinguished and breathing apparatus was discontinued. Crews continued to dampen down using one hose reel jet supplemented from the hydrant.

The caravan was 100% damaged by fire, one small vehicle and one 4x4 vehicle was also involved in fire and had 50% damage.

Police were also on scene at the incident.
