A few chimneys in a row, with smoke coming out of the one in the middle. Only the roofs of the houses can be seen, as well as some of the brick wall of the first in the row, and a grey sky. There are a few trees in the background with no leaves, so it's clearly autumn.

Fire Control recieved multiple reports of a residential fire in the middle of Glastonbury. Due to the number of calls we mobilised four pumps and an aerial appliance to the incient. On arrival crews confirmed a kitchen well alight in a residential property. Crews are currently at work using the following equipment:

  • Four breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reel jets
  • One safety jet
  • One 45ml covering jet
  • One hose reel attack jet
  • Positive pressure ventilation
  • One 135 ladder
  • One triple extension ladder
  • Two thermal imaging cameras

Update 11:33am - The attendance has been increased to seven pumping appliances, one command unit and one incident support unit.

Update 13:04pm - Positive pressure ventilation has now ceased. Crews are now cutting away at walls and cooling hotspots.
