Vehicle fire

2 fire appliances and a water bowser from South Molton and Barnstaple were mobilised earlier this afternoon to Hacche Barton, South Molton, following a call from a farm worker reporting a telehandler on fire in the yard of the farm. 

Our South Molton crew were on scene within minutes, confirming the vehicle was well alight. They set to work and soon had the fire under control, with 4 firefighters in breathing apparatus, using 2 hose reel jets and compressed air foam to smother the fire. The fire, which started accidentally, was extinguished and the incident complete by 1523hrs. Once the vehicle and scene was made safe, duty of care was left with on site staff.
