Vehicle fire
Fire control received several 999 calls reporting a coach on fire in Plymouth. Two fire engines and a water bowser were initially sent. On arrival crews confirmed this was an empty coach and it was well alight. A further fire engine was sent to assist, as well as an environmental protection unit. The fire has been extinguished using:
- 4 Breathing apparatus
- Foam jets
The coach is 80 per cent damaged by fire and 2 private vehicles nearby have been affected by heat and fire. The cause of the fire was accidental. The Police were also in attendance and evacuated a nearby building as a precaution.
