Fire control received a call from the owner of their vehicle stating it was smouldering following a fire which they believe to have extinguished in the area of West Kimber Common.
Control mobilised 1 fire engine from Hatherleigh to attend.
Once in attendance, crews confirmed a small fire in the engine bay of a Nissan X-Trail. Crews used 1 hose reel jet, 1 thermal imaging camera and small tools to ensure the fire was extinguished. This was an accidental ignition.
