Fire control received a couple of calls to a vehicle on fire on South Street in Barnstaple.
Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Barnstaple.
On arrival, crews confirmed 1 vehicle well alight and crews were at work extinguishing fire using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and extrication tools to aid with accessing the vehicle.
Final update - crews confirmed the fire to be extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 hydraulic spreader and 1 thermal imaging camera. The vehicle was 75% damaged by fire. This fire was deemed as deliberate ignition and this incident was left with police who were also on scene.
