Fire Control received a call reporting a fire within a commercial refuse lorry. Two fire engines from Brixham and Paignton and the water bowser from Torquay were mobilised.
Fire crews confirmed a fire within a bin lorry and tackled the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal image camera. Paignton crews followed the lorry back to their depot before dousing the lorry in water to ensure the fire was fully extinguished. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
