Fire Control received a call reporting a vehicle on fire and mobilised one appliance from Ilminster.
On arrival crews confirmed that smoke and flames were issuing from the vehicle and the fire had spread to the carport. Crews got to work with one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus.
The final details were confirmed as one small vehicle and carport involved in fire, 90% fire damage to the car, 80% fire damage to the carport and 10% damage to a tree. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one jet, one thermal imaging camera and cutting equipment to extinguish the fire.
