Property fire
Fire Control received a call reporting a fire within a domestic property and mobilised two appliances from Tavistock.
On arrival at the incident the crews confirmed that the roof of the property was well alight and requested a further two appliances to attend the incident, these were mobilised from Yelverton and Bere Alston. A Water Carrier from Plympton, an Aerial Ladder Platform from Crownhill, Plymouth and a Welfare Unit were also mobilised to support the ongoing incident operations.
Update at 05:33 - A two storey property measuring approximately 8 metres x 6 metres whole roof and parts of the first floor well alight. Crews using one jet and one hose reel. All persons are accounted for, National Grid requested to attend to isolate the electrical supply to the property.
Update at 06:05 - Detached building with roof and first floor fully involved in fire, solar panels on roof involved in fire, National Grid in attendance to isolate power. Crews using two hose reel jets, two attack jets and two safety jets.
Update at 06:50 - Steady progress being made, fire is out crews are continuing to locate hot spots.

The property was 50% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by water. The cause is believed to be accidental.
A revisit was carried out and it was deemed no further re-visits are required.
