Fire control mobilised crews from Danes Castle, Exeter and Middlemoor, Exeter to a report of a kitchen fire.
The fire was in the kitchen of a ground floor flat in a building of three floors. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera, one safety jet and one positive pressure ventilation fan. Two budgies were rescued by fire crews. The kitchen was 20% damaged by fire and the property was 100% smoke damaged.
