Incident - Road Traffic Collision - Person Trapped

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from Ambulance reporting a serious road traffic collision at the above address.

Fire control immediately mobilised two fire appliances from Yeovil, rescue tender from Yeovil and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed a two vehicle road traffic collision with one person trapped within each vehicle.

Ambulance and Police were on scene liaising with crews and formulating a plan.

Crews got to work with hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof of one of the vehicles. Two casualty was released from the vehicles and transported to hospital via land ambulance.
