Fire control received a call from ambulance requesting our attendance to an RTC between Rousdon and Lyme Regis.
Fire control sent the nearest 2 appliances which attended from Lyme Regis and Charmouth which are both from Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service. Due to information received, control also sent a heavy rescue vehicle from Middlemoor in Exeter.
Once crews arrived on scene, they could confirm that there had been a 1 vehicle RTC which had left the highway with 1 person trapped within the vehicle. Crews got to work with hydraulic cutting gear to gain entry to person trapped within the car.
Once extricated, the patient was left in the care of the ambulance service and crews made the scene safe and returned to their home stations.
