Three fire engines were sent to report of a washing machine on fire in a domestic property. On arrival crews confirmed that there was smoke issuing from the utility room and was also involving a tumble dryer. Crews extinguished the fire using:
- Hose reel jet
- 2 thermal image cameras
- 2 breathing apparatus
- Small tools
- Fan for smoke removal
There was 100 per cent smoke damage and 30 per cent fire damage to the utility room. Both appliances were removed to the outside and the cause of the fire was accidental.
