Property fire

Crews from Cullompton and Tiverton were mobilised after a fish and chip trailer van was deliberately set on fire nr the entrance to Willand Rovers Football Club on Silver Street in Willand. Luckily 3 propane cylinders, adjacent to the van, were not involved in the fire and were quickly moved to a place of safety by firefighters and monitored with a thermal imaging camera, whilst the fire was extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 safety jet and small tools. The fire caused 20% damage and once the vehicle was made safe duty of care was left with the Police.
