Property fire

Fire Control received a report of smoke within a leisure centre and alarms sounding in Cheddar. 
Crews from Cheddar and Glastonbury and an aerial ladder platform from Taunton  was immediately mobilised alongside an officer. We also received support from crew from Blagdon from Avon Fire & Rescue Service.

Once in attendance, crew got to work investigating and discovered a strong burning coming from the changing room area and slight smoke logging. Crew successfully found the source of burning which was a defective motor within an extraction system in the motor room. 

The extraction system was successfully isolated and crews used 3x thermal imaging cameras, 2x gas monitors, 1x positive pressure ventilation fan, and small tools for this incident.
