Property fire
We have four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform dealing with a fire in the area of Otterton.
They currently have in use:
- Four breathing apparatus
- Two hose reel jets
- One main jet
The incident has been sectorised.
Update at 0140 hrs -
One fire engine remains on the fire ground. Steady progress has been made with crews checking for any fire spread to adjoining buildings. Along with the above equipment in use, crews also have utilised:
- One positive pressure ventilation fan
Crews are currently turning over and damping down. The ALP is also now returning to home station.

In total four fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended the incident following a call from a member of the public.
Throughout the incident crews used:
- Six breathing apparatus
- Two hose reel jets
- One main jet
- One positive pressure ventilation fan
- One covering jet
- Two thermal image cameras
National Grid also attended.
The fire caused 100% damage to the kitchen and an adjoining premise saw 60% smoke damage. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
