Property fire
Multiple calls were received into Fire Control around 21:30hrs, with reports of black smoke seen in the Benton Road area of Bratton Fleming.
Fire appliances from Barnstaple and South Molton were initially mobilised to the incident with crews quickly requesting further appliances. At present, a total of 6 fire engines, a water bowser, command support unit and the welfare appliance are either in attendance or still on route.
Update 01:54 - Barn measuring 50x50 meters 50% damaged by smoke and fire and 100% damage to vehicles parked within it. Crews used 6 breathing apperatus, 3 hose reel jets, 4 thermal imaging cameras, 1 gas monitor, and 1 triple extension ladder. The fire was deemed to be accidental. A fire crew from Barnstaple are conducting a revisit this morning to ensure that all hotspots are cooled.
