Two fire engines were mobilised following a report of a black plume of smoke coming from a derelict building. Upon arrival crews confirmed flames were issuing, and requested four more fire engines and a 4x4 vehicle to assist with access.
During the incident crews used:-
- Two 51mm main jets
- Six Breathing Apparatus
- Four positive pressure ventilation fans
- Three smoke curtains
- One light portable pump
- Gas monitors
- Small tools
The fire was on the first floor of the building. As a result of the fire there was 50% smoke damage to the floor and 20% fire damage.
