Crews were sent to a report of a fire with in a food takeaway establishment. Three Fire Engines and one Aerial Ladder Platform, were sent initially. On arrival crews confirmed there was a fire inside and asked for a further Fire Engine for assistance.
Crews gained entry and extinguished the fire using:
- 4 Breathing apparatus
- 2 Hose reel jets
- 1 Safety jet
- 2 Thermal image cameras
- Gas monitor
The fire was located in a refrigerated unit. There was 75 per cent fire damage to the shop and 100 per cent smoke damage. The cause of the fire was accidental.
