One fire engine from Wellington was sent to a property at Runnington after the occupier called fire control saying they had a chimney fire.
On arrival the crew requested a second fire engine from Wellington as the chimney fire was well alight. Crews were working from the kitchen area at the inspection plate with chimney gear. Crews then used a ladder and safety at heights equipment to extinguish the fire from the roof.
