Outdoor fire
Crews are currently in attendance at a heathland fire on West Anstey Common in Devon where a fire front of grass and gorse measuring 300 metres has ignited.
The incident has been split into three sectors and crews are tackling the fire using beaters and scotty pumps.
Six appliances and a water bowser are in attendance and crews are using a drone to monitor progress and manage the incident.
Update at 4.45pm
The fire has now been extinguished using three hose reel jets, in addition to beaters and scotty pumps. An area of approximately 80 acres has been damaged by fire.
