Eight fire appliances were sent to a fire, measuring 20 metres x 30 metres, involving low hazard domestic metal waste.
Equipment used at the incident was:
- 2 x 45 mm jets
- 3 hose reel jets
- 2 compressed air foam jets
- 4 breathing apparatus
- 3 x thermal image cameras
- On site machinery
The water was delivered to the incident ground by street hydrant and water bowser. The fire is now out and crews are monitoring the waste pile for hotspots. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
