Fire Domestic - Paignton

Fire control received a call to a fire in the open in the Preston area of Paignton.

Control initially mobilised 1 fire appliance from Paignton but following receiving multiple calls reporting a shed to be on fire, Control mobilised a second fire appliance also from Paignton.

As the first appliance from Paignton approached the scene, the were able to confirm smoke and flames were issuing. 

Once on scene, crews confirmed fire involving a summer house and fencing which had began to spread to the fascia of a nearby property. Crews were initially at work using 1 hose reel jet and 1 attack jet extinguishing the fire. Due to the fire spreading to the property, fire control also mobilised a supporting officer.

Final update - crews were able to swiftly bring this incident under control. A summer house, 8 meters of fencing and multiple small gas cylinders were involved in fire. This fire also spread to a nearby parked vehicle and the fascia of a neighbouring property. Crews used 1 hose reel jet, 1 attack jet, short extension ladder, 1 thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the fire. This fire was confirmed to be accidental.
