Incident - Property Fire

Fire control received several calls reporting a property on fire. One Fire Engine from Torquay and one from Paignton were initially sent. Due to the amount of 999 calls and information gathered by Fire Control, a further Fire Engine from Torquay was sent.

On arrival crews confirmed this fire was well alight and requested a further Fire Engine from Paignton and an Aerial Ladder Platform from Torquay. A Fire Engine from Newton Abbott was also requested for its flexi camera.

This fire originated in an external bin store that spread to 3 properties. Two of the properties were 10 per cent damage by fire and the other one was 5 per cent damaged by fire. Crews used a Main Jet, Hose Reel Jets, Breathing Apparatus and Thermal Image Cameras to extinguish the fire. The cause of the fire was deliberate and the Police were also in attendance.
