Fire Control received a call reporting a vehicle on fire and mobilised one fire engine from Bampton.
On arrival crews confirmed that there was a small fire within the engine compartment of the vehicle.
Crews confirmed the car which was parked on a roadway sustained 10% damage to the engine bay caused by the fire. Crews used one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and small tools to extinguish the fire which was believed to be accidental in origin.
