Fire control took multiple calls to a property fire with people still within the property in the Goosewell area of Plymstock.

Control immediately mobilised 3 appliances from Greenbank and Camels Head and a supporting officer.

Crews confirmed within 5 minutes of arriving that a fire was located within ground floor kitchen at rear of property and crews had rescued an occupant from the first floor of the property. Crews confirmed they had 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 1 safety jet in use.

Crews confirmed ambulance attended.

Final update - Crews confirmed fire located in rear kitchen involving chip pan now extinguished. Crews rescued 1 person and 1 animal from the property. The fire caused smoke damage to both floors within the property. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 2 thermal imaging cameras, 1 safety jet, positive pressure ventilation fan and small tools. This fire was confirmed as accidental.
