Property fire

One Fire engine from Wiveliscombe was sent to a report of a fire alarm sounding at a domestic property. On arrival crews inspected the rear of the property and could see a fire and smoke within. An additional two fire engines were sent as support. This fire was within a second floor flat and involved the kitchen. Crews rescued on dog from the property and extinguished the fire using:

• 2 Breathing apparatus
• 1 Hose reel jet
• Thermal image camera
• Small tools.

There was 10 per cent fire damage to the kitchen and 20 per cent smoke damage. The cause of the fire was accidental.
