Road safety events
Our road safety team help to educate people about the dangers on our roads and how to stay safe when using them. We run events out in the community, can attend local events across Devon and Somerset and organise safety talks for local schools and groups.
Booking us for an event
We regularly do safety demonstrations or talks at schools, colleges, local fetes, sports clubs, carnivals and car or biker meet-ups.
If you’re organising an event, we can work with you to create a bespoke package. This could be a talk that’s focused on a specific safety topic or doing a more general safety demonstration with some of our education vehicles.
If you’d like us to attend your event or organise something bespoke please email email@example.com and we’ll see how we can help.
We have a range of resources and tools that we use to help educate people about road safety. We take these tools out to events to help people understand the dangers of the road.
We use cars that were involved in real road traffic collisions to teach lessons about road safety. We have a Mazda and a Renault Clio which we use to show the devastating effects of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
We use virtual reality headsets to show what it’s like to be involved in a road traffic collision. This immersive education is able to simulate the consequences and allows people to consider their actions and deter risky driving behaviours.
This vehicle is used in areas where young drivers congregate, such as cruises, schools or colleges, road safety events, car shows, and community safety events. The Type R is a tool that encourages young and learner drivers to engage with us on their terms.
Our people are our greatest resource for teaching people how to be safe on our roads. The team are highly trained, personable and have a variety of emergency service backgrounds. They bring events to life by delivering advice from first-hand experience.
We run Learn2Live events for young drivers and their passengers across Devon. These events are aimed at students aged 16-18 who are in education. The purpose of the events is to change young people’s knowledge, attitudes, intentions and behaviour around risk-taking on the roads.
