Fire control received multiple reports of a vehicle on fire at the above location.
Control immediately sent 2 Fire Engines coming from Ilminster and Chard and a water Bowser from Yeovil.
Once in attendance crews confirmed that 2 vehicles were well alight and got to work to extinguish the fire.
This was closely followed by an assistance message of 'Make Pumps 6' due to the fire starting to involve a nearby barn.
Crews were at work with 2 Hose Reel Jets, 3 x 45mm Attack Jets and 2 Breathing Apparatus wearers, the crews confirmed they had successfully extinguished the fire and were at work damping down the surrounding area.
This fire involved 2 camper vans that were 100% damaged by fire along with a barn that was 15% damaged by fire. There was also fire spread to another vehicle this was 30% damaged by fire.
In total crews used 6 Breathing Apparatus, 2 Hose Reel Jets, 3 x 45mm Attack Jets, 1 x Safety Jet and 1 Thermal Imaging Camera.
The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
