Grade 5 - Instructor rate: £14.63 per hour / Lead Instructor £15.60 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity, and applications are invited for those who would be interested in becoming a member of our CYP team and support the delivery of our Uniformed Group Programmes. Supported by our operational members of staff, our programmes are aimed at reducing fire risk, crime and anti-social behaviour, through education by building on our Service Values. We also offer the opportunity for the students and Fire Cadets to attain a recognised BTEC qualification, as well as positive engagement and providing a safe place for them to develop lifelong skills and friendships.
Successful candidates will be offered a Casual Agreement, to undertake this work on an ad-hoc basis.

- knowledge of Health and Safety to promote and support safe and effective working within the field of youth work
- an understanding of current legislation and guidance relating to working with Children and Young People.
Due to the sensitive nature of these positions applicants who are successful at shortlisting will be required to declare any criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands and final warnings, including those which would be considered to be 'spent' within the terms of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, for other purposes, and any other relevant information relating to police enquiries. This position is exempt from the Act by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended). An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be sought in the event of a successful application and the DBS check will be renewed every 3 years. In addition, each applicant will be required to undertake a safer recruitment interview and if successful attend specific training for the post of Enhanced Community Safety Advocate CYP Instructor.
