Time: 14:09
Location: St Marychurch, Torquay
Area: Western
County: Devon

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from HM Coastguard reporting a female and her dog stuck on a cliff.

A fire appliance from Torquay, and aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle, and specialist rescue crews from Camels Head were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.

On arrival, the incident commander confirmed that one female was stuck approximately 10 metres down a bank and her dog approximately 5 metres from the cliff edge.

Working alongside the Coastguard Rescue team, crews used a triple extension ladder to rescue the female from the bank and then got to work to set up safe working at height equipment to rescue her dog.
