Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire at the above location.

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Camels Head, One fire appliance from Crownhill and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a fire in the ground floor kitchen involving a refrigerator.

Crews promptly got to work with four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras to locate and extinguish the fire. After extinguishing the fire the crew in breathing apparatus got to work using a positive pressure ventilation fan to remove the smoke from the property.

The incident commander confirmed the ground floor was fifteen percent damaged by the fire and eight five percent damaged by the smoke. The first floor suffered sixty percent severe smoke damage and thirty percent moderate smoke damage.

The incident commander believed the ignition to be accidental.
