Incident - Shed Fire

Fire Control received several calls to reports of a fire at the above location.

1 Fire appliance from Totnes, 1 from Paignton, 1 from Buckfastleigh and an Operational Assurance Officer attended the incident.

On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a shed fire, well alight, which had spread to the semi-detached house.

An ambulance was requested to attend for a male suffering with smoke inhalation.

This was a shed fire, which spread to the house.  Crews extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet, small tools to cut away, 2 thermal imaging cameras and lighting.

Western Power were requested to attend to isolate the electrics to the property.

The fire caused 100% damage to the shed and 5% damage to the adjoining property. The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate.

There will be a revisit during daylight hours to confirm the cause of the fire.
