Fire control received a call reporting that the lounge of a property was on fire at the above location during the early hours of this morning. 

Fire control quickly mobilised fire engines from Camels Head and Crownhill whilst providing fire survival guidance over the phone to the occupier of the property. 

Fire fighters arrived on scene and confirmed that one person had safely evacuated from the property and nobody else was inside.

The crews confirmed a fire in woodburner and hearth within the lounge of a semi detached property, crews got to work tackling the fire using 2 x breathing apparatus, 1 x hose reel jet, 1 x covering jet and 1 x thermal image camera.  

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and the occupant was left in the hands of the Ambulance service as they were suffering from smoke inhalation.
