Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire in the kitchen at the above location.

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire engine from Axminster, one fire engine from Lyme Regis, one fire engine from Colyton, one aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle Exeter and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a fire within the oven in the kitchen. Crews promptly got to work with two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and two carbon dioxide extinguishers to extinguish the fire in the kitchen.

The fire was promptly extinguished and the crews got to work ventilating the property and carrying out internal and external checks of the property using thermal imaging cameras.

The oven involved in fire was forty percent damaged by the fire and the kitchen was ten percent smoke damaged.

This was believed to be an accidental fire.
