Fire control received several 999 calls reporting a car on fire on the M5 northbound, just before junction 22. Two fire engines were sent and on arrival crews confirmed this car was on the hard shoulder and well alight. Crews extinguished the fire using:
- 2 Breathing apparatus
- 1 Hose reel jet
- Thermal image camera
The car was destroyed by fire and the cause was accidental. The Police were also in attendance.
