Fire Control received multiple calls with reports of a vehicle on fire on the M5 North bound between J28 Cullomton and J27 Sampford Peverell.
Two crews were mobilised from Cullompton and Middlemoor, Exeter. Upon arrival they confirmed the car was well alight. Crews set about controlling the fire using a hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
The car was completely destroyed by fire.
