Keeping you safe on our county's roads is a challenge for us. We
have one of the largest networks of rural roads in the UK which are used by
thousands of visitors every year, as well as our resident communities.
We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of road safety campaigning. We attend too many incidents and too many of those involving young drivers. We work with our partner agencies such as the police, ambulance and local authorities to get the message across in the most effective way.
We have specialist road safety educational vehicles, educational events and special educational road shows all aiming to reduce the amount of people killed or seriously injured on our roads.
This is a project where we are working in partnership with Approved Driving Instructor’s (ADI’s) to deliver key messages as new drivers are learning to drive. It involves the Fire Service, Police, Road Safety and Local Authorities.
