With conditions across Somerset still being treacherous Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service are working in close partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust. We have activated our joint, well rehearsed adverse weather plan to ensure a timely response to all emergency calls
Fire and Ambulance crews are working closely together and are the eyes and ears within the community for fire and health, keeping a close awareness on local weather conditions and supporting local communities.
We are advising with the ongoing conditions of compacted snow and ice coupled with below freezing temperatures that unless it is essential to travel please don’t!
