2 fire engines from Dartmouth were sent to a report of a fire in a bedroom. On arrival the crews informed of smoke issuing from the property and requested a further 2 fire engines which were sent from Brixham. A incident command vehicle and support appliance from Totnes were also sent.

The terraced property of 2 floors measuring 6 metres by 5 metres used as a domestic dwelling had the 1st floor bedroom severely damaged by fire and the remainder of 1st floor damaged by smoke. The ground floor was slightly damaged by fire and water. The crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reels, 1 main jet, 2 thermal image cameras and 2 short extension ladders to deal with the fire.

No persons were injured and the fire is not thought to be suspicious
