Two appliances from Greenbank, were sent to a report of a fire in a undergound sub station.
Upon arrival the Officer in charge reported that there had been a possible explosion and fire in a sub basement electrical switch room, but the fixed carbon dioxide firefighting systems had operated and had suppressed the fire.
Firefighters donned breathing apparatus sets to investigate further and have requested a specialised fan to assist in the removal of smoke and help ventilate, which was sent from Crownhill.
