Although this job can be stressful and physically demanding, and you will often work in very uncomfortable situations, for example at heights or in enclosed spaces, it is an extremely rewarding job, both financially, earning £27,850 after training, and personally, with a high level of job satisfaction.

As a Wholetime Firefighter with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service you will be required to work a 2-2-4 shift pattern, comprising of 2 day shifts on and 2 night shifts on followed by 4 days off.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community - particularly those from groups who are under-represented in our Service.
