We are the largest non metropolitan fire and rescue service in the United Kingdom, created on 1st April 2007 from the combination of Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Services. An exciting future lies ahead as we deliver services to 1.6 million residents, plus those that visit us, across our two counties.
Our aim is to reduce the impact that fires and other emergencies have on people, property and the environment - leading that effort is Chief Fire Officer Paul Young and his Deputy Neil Gibbins.
