Details on how to make a request under the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000
If you wish to use your 'right to know', under the FOI Act 2000 a valid request must:
1. be in writing (fax or e-mail are acceptable).
2. contain a contact name and address. We may need to contact you to clarify the request. A telephone number would be useful and we will need somewhere to send the information.
3. contain a description of the information required.
If we hold the information requested and are able to release it, this will be done within 20 working days of receipt of your request, as required by the legislation.

Fire Reports and Interviews
Requests for Fire Reports and interviews will continue to be dealt with 'as normal business' and charges apply to these. Please see our Standard Charges for the current rates. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org to make such requests.
Data Protection (DP) Act 1998 (Subject Access) Requests
If you wish to make a request for personal data, this should be done via our Subject Access Request (SAR) Form.
If we hold the information requested and are able to release it, this will be done within 40 calendar days of receipt of your completed SAR.
