A publicly available and current Local Community Plan for each station.
Our aim is to ensure that each of our stations has a Local Community Plan. Every one of our fire stations receives a community risk profile which includes previous incident data, demographic data, commercial and infrastructure risks. All of this information comes together to help local firefighters prioritise the proactive community safety activities that need to take place in their community.
For example, some areas may have more elderly residents living there so we may need to increase the amount of home safety visits, or ensure our partner agencies such as carers that are visiting the homes, know the basics of fire safety.
The local plans contain actions that the local teams will take to reduce risk in a specific community area. We have 84 local community plans, all of which are published on our website under the ‘Your Area’ section.
Our performance figures are updated every three months. Find out how we are doing, by clicking here.
